Feeling Uncovered!
I finally printed my whole SPICY 🌶️ contemporary romance short story, “Frenching My Flatmate,” for my husband to read. He had a flight out today and comes back Thursday, so it’s the perfect time for him to read. He does best if I give it to him in hard copy, so I ran to FedEx and got it printed with a coil and everything for him.
I really like him to read everything I write before “the public.” But this is the first time I’ve published content that uses terms like the male rooster for anatomy (See? Even here, I’m avoiding) and not stuck to writing about the sex act metaphorically. And I don’t know why, but I still feel like an elementary school kid with the giggles, when I’m a grown a** woman of 43 years in August (yay, Leo 🦁 season is coming, y’all!!!). LOL
So, anyhow, I’ve already shared the cover of the CRAVING MY ROOMMATE anthology, which will include my short story along with those of 20+ authors, but I’m excited to now share the cover I’ve made for my own short story!

This cover was chosen between two options on my Instagram broadcast channel, “Skye Knight’s Scrappy Squad.” If you’d like to have your voice heard on such important matters, please join us on my Instagram profile HERE! In the future, I will also put the same matters before my Facebook Reader Group of the same name HERE if you prefer that platform.
NOW — on to the blurb for my story “Frenching My Flatmate”:
After losing her mom, Izzy throws herself into completing her neurosurgery degree in Paris. But her French housemate Julien, an acupuncturist, pokes holes in her serious and studious plans, enabling the City of Light to pour into her heart.
I am thrilled to share this work with you. I had two good friends double-check me on two aspects of this story, one a medical expert, the other currently living in Paris, to ensure I did right by those subjects.
My trip to France last August inspired me, and I’ve experienced great relief from acupuncture myself. I’ve also lost both my parents (my dad when I was 12 and my mom when I was 29), so all these subjects I cover are near and dear to me. Oh, and I may have worked a little tennis in as well. I LOVE it too much. 😉 (Congrats to my fave Alcaraz on your win today!)
This story is available to PREORDER now! And it’s only 99 cents. It helps us authors out so much if you order early, so please do! HERE’S THE LINK

My Grecian Getaway to Paros!
In a more personal update, a dear friend invited Mr. Skye and me (minus the kiddos) to stay in a house in Paros, Greece, to celebrate her 40th birthday in June. It was AHHHH-mazing. To say the least.
I’ve never been to Greece, and we didn’t visit many famous places. But Paros was lovely, kind of rural, not too touristy. There was a trail around the island where you could bop to different towns and beaches if you were up for light hiking. It was so much fun.
We hiked the Byzantine trail, visited the Church of 1000 Doors, went out dancing, and visited some other nearby small islands by boat, including one where you could swim underwater and see a plane crash from WWII and another island with caves you could swim through. Of course, I did some shopping and bought a beautiful piece of pottery from Todd Marshard, a gorgeous dress by D’Artemide, some jewelry, and, of course, gifts for family.
