In celebration of my spicy short story “Frenching my Flatmate,” which is part of the romance anthology Craving My Roommate—available for PRE-ORDER NOW, and releasing in 1 month—I’ve got something sweet for you! 🌶️🍪
I’ve written a sweet contemporary romance short story called “How the Cookie Crumbles” to offer to everyone who subscribes to my newsletters for free! It’s a perfect quick and light read for summer, and it’s placed in a lake setting where I’ll be celebrating July 4th myself.
And—dunh dunh dunhhhhh—drumroll please… 🥁
Here is the cover!!!

And here’s the blurb!
Fifteen years have passed since Molly (aka “Cookies”) was left with unrequited dreams when her high school sweetheart Jake left town to enlist in the Army to support his mother and five sisters after his dad’s passing. Jake couldn’t bear to hear of Molly, but she was ever-present in aiding his family in their rural Lake Hartwell town, never finding love or having children beyond the ones she teaches as a high school art teacher. Now that his youngest sister is graduating high school, he’s back, but is their recipe the same, and can they find a sweet treat at the end of it all?
A trilogy about three brothers has simmered in my mind for years now. I wrote this short story as a prequel to those. I hope you enjoy this one and anticipate those stories once fully baked!
